THE 36TH ANNUAL PAT FLYNN HORSE SHOW

SUNDAY, June 23

Little Bit is pleased to announce we will be hosting the 36th annual Pat Flynn Memorial Horse Show. The show is open to riders enrolled in the Spring 2024 session. We hope you will join us!

The first Pat Flynn Memorial Horse Show was held in April 1987 at Gold Creek Stables in Woodinville, WA. There were over fifty riders from Oregon, Washington, and Canada competing in equitation, jumping, dressage and obstacle classes. The show was named in honor of Pat Flynn, a former Little Bit student who had passed away the previous year. Pat made a bequest to Little Bit to assist in building our Woodinville facility, where we hosted the annual show until 2013 when we moved to Redmond.

SPACE IS LIMITED! DEADLINE TO REGISTER: may 31, 2024

$15 Registration Fee $40 per class; $25 for costume class. Limit 2 classes or 2 classes plus costume. A $20 late fee will be added to registrations received after the closing date.

Class descriptions

Equitation: is the art or practice of horse riding or horsemanship. More specifically, equitation may refer to a rider's position while mounted, and encompasses a rider's ability to ride correctly and with effective aids. In horse show competition, the rider, rather than the horse is evaluated. Equitation classes are ridden in a group format with up to three riders in the arena at a time.

Obstacle Course: is a judged course that tests a horse and rider's ability to work as a partnership and navigate obstacles they might experience on a trail. The obstacles are designed to enhance the horsemanship skills. Obstacle course classes are ridden one rider at a time.

Barrel Racing: is a timed clover shaped pattern ridden around 3 barrels. This is a fun way to show your riding skills.

Costume Class: is a great way for each rider to express themselves! All costumed
riders will show off their “talent” at a walk only (Volunteers and horses, too!). Excellent option for hippotherapy patients.
