2025 Adaptive and Horsemanship Enrollment Enrollment deadline November 4, 2024
Updated Policies, Effective January 2025 for Adaptive Enrollment, Tuition, and Payment.
To our families, for the 2025 program year, we will be piloting some big changes to how participants enroll, make payments, and receive tuition aid for the Adaptive program. This information is listed below. We look forward to seeing you at the start of the new year.
Please complete the enrollment form at the bottom of this page, which includes acknowledgement of these new policies by November 4, regardless of participation in January, and provide us with your anticipated start date.
Enrollment
Starting January 1, 2025, enrollment will renew automatically every month unless terminated by either party. Both parties have the right to terminate enrollment at any time, if written notice of termination is provided in the manner outlined below.
Termination of Enrollment
If a participant chooses to terminate their enrollment, a written notice of their intent to terminate must be provided on or before the 10th day of the month preceding the intended termination to the following email address: Registration@LittleBit.org.
For example, email notice must be provided by January 10 to terminate enrollment on February 1. No refunds will be given for any classes missed any time prior to the date of termination of enrollment (NOT the date of notice of termination).
Once enrollment is terminated, the individual is welcome to rejoin the program when an appropriate lesson becomes available. Until a lesson slot becomes available, they will be placed on the standby list.
Standby List
The standby list is separate from our traditional waitlist and is for current participants who are not actively participating. The participants on the standby list are first in line for any appropriate lesson openings within their stated availability.
If an individual does not rejoin the program within 12 months of being placed on the standby list, the individual will be moved to the Adaptive waitlist.
Schedule Change
Participants may request a change in their schedule at any time, but this does not guarantee there will be an appropriate lesson available. If there are no appropriate lessons available, the participant may keep their current lesson time or will be placed on the standby list.
Families are encouraged to notify Little Bit via Registration@LittleBit.org as soon as possible of a future schedule change to limit any delay in services.
Taking Time Off
We appreciate that many participants choose to take portions of the year off from our programming. Under this new enrollment process, families will utilize the steps outlined in the termination of enrollment section and should make a notation on the duration of time they will not be participating. Once notice is received, the individual will be placed on the standby list with the ideal return date to Little Bit’s programming noted for future reference.
For example, a family might notify Little Bit on May 10 that they will not be participating in programming for June or July but would like to return in September.
Little Bit cannot guarantee that an original lesson time or slot will be available upon the participant’s return to our programming.
Monthly Tuition
Tuition is due on the 15th of each month for the following month. Tuition is prorated based on the number of lesson days in each month.
For example, if an individual is participating in the month of February for Adaptive lessons, tuition is due January 15.
The cost per lesson starting January 1, 2025, is $110.
Payment
Every participant must provide a valid debit or credit card number, which will be kept on file. If your payment information changes, you are responsible for informing the front desk and providing new payment information.
If you would prefer to make payment via cash or check, such payment must be received prior to the 15th day of each month. If payment is not made by the 15th day of each month, the card on file will be charged.
Receipt of payment will be emailed to the email address on file.
Non-Payment/Declined Credit Card/NSF Checks
If payment is not received on or before the 15th day of each month, you will be charged a $15 late fee. In addition, the participant will not be allowed to participate until your account is paid for in full and is in good standing.
A $35 fee will be assessed for all NSF checks.
Tuition Aid
Starting January 1, 2025, Little Bit will continue to offer tuition aid and will limit the number of tuition aid slots each year. This will allow us to continue to support families while also staying within the parameters of the expected contributions to Little Bit from generous donors each year. Tuition aid will be granted for six months at a time instead of every three to four months. Tuition Aid — Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center
Participants who are currently receiving tuition aid do NOT need to submit a tuition aid application unless requested by Little Bit.
Refund/Cancellation Policy
If a participant cancels after the 1st of the month, Little Bit will not refund tuition unless the cancellation is an unplanned medical necessity with a doctor’s note or due to an extreme hardship discussed with our Executive Director.
If Little Bit cancels a lesson because we cannot offer the service, we will offer a refund or credit the participant’s account. This excludes cancellations due to weather or “acts of God.” Make-up lessons are not offered.
Refunds, credits, or make-up lessons are not given for lessons missed due to a participant cancellation.
When an unmounted lesson is offered as an alternative to a mounted lesson, and a participant decides not to attend, a refund will not be given.
