Facilities Manager, FULL-time

The Facilities Manager is a hands-on working position, responsible for the overall use, operation, and development of the Little Bit 14-acre equine farm property and facilities. Under minimal daily supervision, they oversee allocation of budget and resources. They manage on-going maintenance and safety, as well as short-term projects and future facilities plans. The Facilities Manager is an adaptable collaborator working closely with other staff. INSTRUCTOR, FULL-time

Little Bit instructors are responsible for delivering therapeutic riding lessons, managing horses during hippotherapy treatments, and schooling horses. The Physical Therapist is responsible for direct treatment of patients (primarily pediatric), with a wide range of diagnoses.  This person will be responsible for the evaluation of the patient and the implementation of the therapy treatment plan utilizing equine movement as a treatment tool. The therapist will also be responsible for appropriate communication (verbal & written) with family members, volunteers, and staff members. The therapist will operate under minimal supervision with considerable latitude for independent judgment and actions in assigned therapy treatment and patient matters. schooler, PART-time

Little Bit is hiring a schooling rider to join our team. Our schooling team’s role is to keep our horse emotionally and physically fit and sound to perform their role in our program. This is done through a series of schooling/training rides and ground work including free lunging, lunging and long lining. This role requires someone who is able to build a schedule around the Little Bit program schedule, to support a diverse range of horses with their training needs, following the training plans set by the Equine Department. Schoolers are expected to be able to ride horses in a variety of environments and assist in their training for new activities and experiences. This may include riding challenging behaviors at times. This is a part time position of 10-15 hours per week. Hours will be split over 2-3 days and the schedule needs to fit around the organization’s needs. Mornings are typically preferable. The Summer Camp Coordinator is responsible for managing the Summer Camp Staff, Volunteers, and lesson planning for unmounted activities. They will provide direct support to the daily Camp activities and provide future planning for the weeks following. Instructor Training Internships 

Geared towards potential instructors who already have extensive horseback riding experience and are looking to prepare to become a PATH International Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor. This internship will provide the opportunity to get the 25 teaching hours required by PATH in order to apply for the Certification.
